Beyond Anger DVD & Facilitator’s Guide
Earnie Larsen renowned author and lecturer in the fields of recovery, addiction, and unwanted behaviors, defines anger, ex-
plains how it is learned early in life, and describes how cycles of anger develop when a person continues to express anger in
unhealthy ways. An ex-offender shares the moving story of how he learned as a child to deal with anger, and he acts out a
scene from his life where he is forced to confront his anger. He shows how healing anger is possible. He points out each
person’s responsibility in the process and lays out a five-step process for healing anger. Recognizing anger is important, but
that without forgiveness, recognizing anger will only create resentment. An ex-offender tells the painful story of his struggle.
Finally, he addresses the question of reconciliation. A powerful scene shows the struggle of one man trying to reconcile in a
deeply wounded relationship.
Created specifically for inmates and parolees,
